Amanda Kespohl is a fantasy writer who was born in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, but currently calls Tallahassee home. Some of her published short stories include “The Wicked Fairy,” which was featured in Alien Abduction (Robot Cowgirl Press 2015); “The Fisherman and the Golem,” which was featured in Sirens (World Weaver Press 2016); “How Death Came by his Soul,” which was featured in The Death of All Things (Zombies Need Brains LLC 2017); and “The Naga’s Mirror,” which was published in Hear Me Roar (Poise and Pen Publishing 2020). A flash fiction piece, “The Rescue,” has been published in Enchanted Conversation Magazine. Her short fantasy story, “Jenny Redcape,” is available as an ebook, as is her fantasy adventure novelette, “Gretel.”
She is a lover of mythology, folklore, and fairy tales, and a voracious reader of fantasy written by the likes of Naomi Novik, Robin Hobb, Robin McKinley, Neil Gaiman, Dave Duncan, Peter S. Beagle, and Patricia McKillip. She’s also a gamer, a SFF convention attendee, a comic book reader, and an all-around geek.
